1. These terms

By using this site or placing an order you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. We may update them; the version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and we keep the date at the top current.

These terms are between you and Wakabuy, Plot 14 Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria.

2. Your account

You need an account to check out. You must give accurate details and keep them current — most delivery failures are an old address or a phone number nobody answers.

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised. Tell us immediately if you think it has.

We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, that abuses our staff, or that repeatedly refuses delivery on orders it placed. Where we do, we say why.

3. Products & pricing

We describe products as accurately as we can and photograph the actual condition. Screen colours vary between displays, and that is not a defect.

Prices are in US dollars and include applicable taxes. Delivery is added at checkout and shown before you pay.

Prices and stock change. If an obvious pricing error occurs — a decimal in the wrong place, not a discount you simply liked — we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it. We will not do this to escape an ordinary promotion we chose to run.

A special price applies only within the dates shown. Outside that window the regular price applies.

4. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we confirm the order, not when you click Place order. We may decline an order where stock has gone, the address is outside our delivery area, or the payment cannot be verified — and we refund you in full when we do.

You may cancel while the order is still Processing by contacting support. Once it is Packed it is with the courier and the route is a return instead.

5. Payment

We accept card, bank transfer and, where available for your address, payment on delivery. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never receive or store your full card number.

Bank-transfer orders are held for you while the transfer clears, normally a few hours and never more than one business day. If it has not cleared after five business days we release the stock and cancel the order.

Ownership of the goods passes to you when we have received payment in full.

6. Delivery & risk

Delivery timeframes are estimates in business days, counted from when the order is packed, and are set out on the delivery page. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control, but we will keep you informed and you can cancel an order that has not shipped.

Risk passes to you on delivery. Check the parcel at handover where you can; report visible damage within 48 hours with a photo so we can claim against the courier.

7. Returns & warranty

You have 14 days from delivery to return an item for any reason, and 12 months of seller warranty against faults. The full terms, including what condition an item must come back in, are on the returns page and form part of these terms.

Nothing here removes or limits your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use this site to break the law, to place orders you do not intend to pay for, to scrape or copy the catalogue at scale, to probe or interfere with its security, or to submit false reviews or abusive content.

We may remove content and restrict accounts that do any of these.

9. Our content

The Wakabuy name, logo, site design, copy and photography belong to us or our licensors. You may not reuse them commercially without written permission. Manufacturer names and marks belong to their owners and are used to describe the products we sell.

10. Liability

We are liable for losses that follow naturally from our breaking these terms. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or lost business opportunity.

Where liability can lawfully be capped, it is capped at the amount you paid for the order concerned. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.

Please raise a complaint with support first — nearly everything is resolved there, and quickly. If a term is found unenforceable, the rest continue to apply.
