Buying a laptop in Nigeria should not be a gamble

Where we started

Wakabuy began with a bad purchase. One of our founders bought a “barely used” gaming laptop from a listing with four photos and a phone number. It arrived with a swollen battery, half the advertised RAM and no way to return it. The seller stopped answering. That is an ordinary story here, and it should not be.

So the first version of Wakabuy was not a shop. It was a checklist — battery cycles, panel condition, port function, thermal behaviour under load — that we ran on every machine before we would put our name on it. The shop came afterwards, and the checklist is still the part that matters.

How we work now

Every product listed on Wakabuy carries the full specification, the real stock count and the warranty that actually applies to it. Prices include what you pay; delivery cost and time are shown before you reach the payment step, not after. If we cannot deliver to your state yet, checkout says so plainly instead of taking your money and apologising later.

When something does go wrong — and sometimes it does — you have fourteen days to send it back for any reason, and a twelve-month warranty if it turns out to be faulty. Both are on the returns page in plain language, not buried in the terms.
